HEAR FROM SPRING '23

Our new members from Fall '23 want to share a few words about their experiences in PGN.

Katelin Doughty

"What surprised me most about PGN after joining was how these people became my family in just three short months of knowing them. Whether it be a simple good luck text, a call to check in, or even someone to study with, I have never felt so loved and important based on the compassion and gratitude each member exemplifies. The seniors were an integral piece of my experience in joining PGN as a result of their guidance, mentorship, and selflessness. The seniors in PGN were willing to drop anything to meet with us or guide us, whether it be professional career advice or just a chat about extracurriculars or even plans for that day. As the oldest child in my family, getting the experience to have a big bro meant so much more to me compared to others. My big bro served as the older sister I always wished I had and not only helped me plan professionally, but also served as someone I could go to anything with and someone who inspired me to push myself outside of my comfort zone. My pledge class is a prime example of the saying of "the people make the place" and will forever be people I can go to for anything, no matter how big or small. Whenever I am feeling stressed or overwhelmed, I can count on them for a hug or chat to lighten my mood and remind me how important happiness is."
